JENNINGS — Police said Tuesday they were continuing to follow up on tips in the killing of a young couple found dead in their home Sunday.
“We are working on multiple tips, but concentrating on them individually, ruling some of them in and ruling others out,” Chief Todd D’Albor said.
Authorities have not released information on how Katrenna Segura Williams, 30, and her husband, Charles Williams Jr., 25, died. But officials said the deaths likely occurred between Friday night and Saturday morning.
The bodies were discovered at 5 p.m. Sunday after a relative went to the Seagraves Street home to check on them, D’Albor said. The couple’s 4-year-old son was reportedly found unharmed inside the home.
Authorities said Monday they were looking for more than one suspect in the slayings.
D’Albor said Tuesday that investigators were checking out every tip in hopes they may lead authorities to the people responsible for the slayings. Authorities said people with information can call an anonymous 24-hour tip line, 275-9002.
“We always take everyone serious and will continue to work on this until we can bring closure to the families,” D’Albor said.
Investigators continued to sift through physical evidence collected at the residence. The evidence is being processed through the Calcasieu Parish crime lab in Lake Charles, D’Albor said.
