An elderly Lake Charles man missing since Monday has been found safe and reunited with his family, city police said.
Deputy Chief Mark Kraus said Leroy Stewart Sr., 84, was found on Wednesday.
"At 11:49 a.m., Jennifer Hoffpauir and Jordan Ashworth with the Lake Charles Evidence Division located Stewart in the 700 block of Azalea Street," Kraus said. "He was between a house and privacy fence when located. We would like to thank the public for their assistance in locating Mr. Stewart."
Stewart, who has history of Alzehiemer's disease, walked away from Moss Regional Hospital Monday while waiting for a doctor's appointment.
"There is no doubt that Hoffpauir and Ashworth saved Mr. Stewart's life today,” said Chief Don Dixon. "We are very proud of these two as we are of all members of this organization."

Title: Where Was His Family?
Why in hell would any family let such a person be out on his own like that? You can bet your life that if he were to pass away, the vultures will be there for even FIVE dollars.
