The Calcasieu Parish Sheriff’s Office said Sunday evening it is investigating a possible homicide at Lot 418 of Quailridge Mobile Estate Park, located at 2187 Gauthier Road in Lake Charles.

The remains found inside were identified as 38-year-old Raymona Lisa Gilmore.

“It is in the early stages of investigating,” CPSO spokeswoman Kim Myers said Sunday afternoon.

Family members found the body around 3 p.m. Sunday and called 911, Myers said.

Paramedics confirmed the woman was deceased, and investigators deemed the death a possible homicide.

After obtaining search warrants, crime scene investigators were able to enter the home after 7 p.m. Sunday night.

The cause of death has not been released.

“We still haven’t confirmed it as a homicide but that is how we are treating it,” Sheriff Tony Mancuso said Sunday night.
