Two men have been charged with second-degree murder in connection with the slaying of a man earlier this month in Starks, authorities said.

Marlon R. Bamburg Jr. and Darrell P. Brantley were arrested Wednesday after the Beauregard Parish Sheriff’s Office received a tip from two people who claimed to have witnessed a homicide, officials said.

The slaying occurred on Nov. 3, according to a Beauregard Parish Sheriff’s Office news release.

Authorities said that searches of residences on Robert Clark Road and Bob O’Rear Road turned up the body of a white male. The body was taken to the Calcasieu Coroner’s Office for examination.

The name of the victim is not being released pending identification, according to the Beauregard Parish Sheriff’s Office.(MGNonline)
