Three arrested in 10th Street shooting

Three people have been arrested in connection with a shooting that occurred Wednesday night on 10th Street in Lake Charles.

Lake Charles Police Department officers were dispatched to 2206 10th St. in reference to a shooting.

“Upon arrival officers learned that two males had been shot and they were transported to separate local hospitals for treatment due to gunshot wounds,” Sgt. Richard Harrell said in a news release. “Investigation revealed that prior to the shooting an argument and fight had occurred at 2206 10th Street. Following the argument two subjects entered a maroon color vehicle and as they left 2206 10th St. multiple shots were fired from the vehicle back toward 2206 10th St.”

After the initial call and witness information, officers were able to locate the suspect vehicle and stopped it at Broad St. and Lyons St. The three occupants of the vehicle arrested.

Ja’Von Christopher Parker, 17 of Iowa, was charged with attempted second-degree murder and illegal use of dangerous instrumentalities. His bond is set at $750,000.

Kendall Dywayne Pouchie Jr., 19, of Iowa, was charged with attempted second-degree murder. Bond was set at $500,000.

A 16-year-old male from Lake Charles has been arrested and booked on attempted second-degree murder and booked into the Juvenile Detention Center.
